若基督未曾復活 (Be There No Resurrection)

有一位叫 Frank Scavo 的弟兄，受哥林多前書15:12-58 感动写了一首诗歌，题目叫 Be There No Resurrection。调用的是许多圣徒们熟悉的诗歌 “教会唯一的根基是耶稣基督”。在今年复活节之际，译成中文，分享如下：

若基督未曾復活

1.
若基督未曾復活，
福音就成枉然；
若基督仍被死困，
信心盡都虛幻。

但主耶穌已復活！
千古確鑿證實；
祂成為我們生命，
能力源泉湧溢。

2.
若基督未曾復活，
我們仍陷罪淵；
桎梏無法能掙脫，
注定滅亡徒然。

但主耶穌已復活！
凡信祂、在祂裡；
靠生命之律釋放，
脫罪、死亡權勢。

3.
若基督未曾復活，
逝者皆已沉淪；
所有盼望盡喪失，
唯有痛哭流涕。

但主耶穌已復活！
我必同祂興起；
死亡權勢今何在？
毒鉤再無能力！

4.
若基督未曾復活，
今朝只管享樂；
縱情世間之歡愉，
明日或歸坟墓。

但主耶穌已復活！
我們應當儆醒；
生活聖潔和端正，
向神向人真誠。

5.
若基督未曾復活，
誰為福音受苦？
何須忍受諸艱難，
何須面對險阻？

但主耶穌已復活！
末後祂必再臨；
征服撒但黑勢力，
賜我權柄冠冕。

6.
耶穌基督已復活，
勝過罪惡死亡；
祂是賜生命的靈，
活在我們裡面。

我今與主靈聯合，
主恩豐盛滿溢；
勞苦皆都凝珍寶，
共享復活榮耀。

英文版：

Be there no resurrection,
Our preaching is in vain;
Our faith is empty, futile,
If Christ in death remain.
But Christ is resurrected;
This fact of history,
Our living is, our gospel,
And its vitality.

2.

Be there no resurrection,
Then yet in sins are we
Still under condemnation,
No way of victory.
But Christ is resurrected,
And those who are in Him,
By law of life have freedom
From Satan, death, and sin.

3.

Be there no resurrection,
Then perish those who sleep;
Then is no hope of glory,
Then only cause to weep.
But Christ is resurrected,
And raised we too shall be—
O death, where is your power?
Your sting? Your victory?

4.

Be there no resurrection,
Then let us feast each day,
Drink deeply of earth’s pleasures:
Tomorrow die we may.
But Christ is resurrected:
We must awaken, stand,
Be sober, moral, righteous,
Before both God and man.

5.

Be there no resurrection,
Then why in danger be?
Why suffer for the gospel,
Endure adversity
But Christ is resurrected—
Then comes the end, whene’er
All rule and pow’r He conquers—
His reign with us He’ll share.

6.

Our Christ is resurrected
To conquer death and sin,
And, as the living Spirit,
Enlivens us within.
Now with Him one in spirit,
We labor not in vain,
But in His work abounding,
Full resurrection gain.
